As a Chef Apprentice at The Grange Residential Home you will provide nutritious meals for 49 residents catering to their dietary requirements, working towards the Production Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship, over the duration of 15 months, alongside your daily roles and responsibilities.

Duties include:

- Following a four weekly set menu

- Prepare, cook and serve hot meals as and when required.

- Provide for special dietary requirements where necessary and take into account the preferences of individual service users.

- Following resident's individual care plans in terms of food and fluid needs

- Completing kitchen orders on a weekly basis or as and when required

- Liaise with the Home Manager/ Deputy Home Manager when planning/costing menus in order to provide a balanced nutritious diet, making the best use of available fresh food products.

- Maintain accurate records of food supplies and freezer/fridge temperatures

- Budgetary/Financial Control in regards to kitchen and food orders

- Maintain good communication with the other members of kitchen staff to ensure smooth
