The role will include training provided by Agile ICT, followed by delivering hands-on, in-person IT support across the school. This is a highly visible, people-facing role where the postholder will be out and about around the site, responding to issues, troubleshooting problems directly with staff, and setting up new equipment to support teaching and learning. Although employed by the school, the postholder will work in line with Agile ICT's support model, managing helpdesk tickets for the school. The role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running and ongoing development of the school's IT systems. Agile ICT engineers visit the site regularly to provide additional network and infrastructure support, and the postholder will work collaboratively with their remote support team, field-based technicians, and installation engineers to help deliver and maintain a reliable, high-quality IT environment. The role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting a wide range of systems and technologies, including Microsoft 365, Windows desktop and server environments, Active Directory, networking, virtualisation, device management, and IT security Key Responsibilities - Provide hands-on, in-person IT support to staff and users across the school - Assist with the setup, maintenance and support of hardware and systems including PCs, laptops, tablets and iPads, including the maintenance of the asset register - Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and development of secure, reliable, and efficient IT systems to support the needs of a large specialist school environment - Work collaboratively with Agile ICT remote support teams to respond to technical helpdesk requests via phone, email, and ticketing system in an efficient and timely manner - Log, track and update incidents on the helpdesk system in line with Agile ICT processes - Diagnose and support troubleshooting of hardware, software, and connectivity issues - Support general housekeeping and administrative tasks, including maintaining curriculum software systems - Support general IT housekeeping and administrative tasks, including maintaining curriculum software systems - Work proactively around the site to identify and resolve potential IT issues - Assist with network and infrastructure tasks alongside visiting Agile ICT engineers - Maintain a professional, helpful, and customer-focused approach at all times - Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote the welfare of children - Demonstrate the school's values and positive behaviours - Work inclusively and promote equality of opportunity - Maintain high standards of health, safety, and wellbeing Contact informationApprenticeships Training |
