North London Hospice are looking for an enthusiastic and organised HR Administrator Apprentice to join their team. This role offers hands-on experience in HR processes while studying towards your HR Support Level 3 qualification. You'll play a key role in supporting the HR and Volunteer functions, acting as a first point of contact for queries and ensuring our systems and processes run smoothly. Key Responsibilities: General HR & Systems Support - Maintain accurate records for both staff and volunteers. - Administer HR systems, offering first-line support to users. - Prepare regular KPI reports and ad hoc data as requested. - Represent the HR team in internal meetings, promoting our organisational values. Recruitment & Onboarding - Support the recruitment process by drafting job adverts, maintaining job descriptions, and preparing offer letters. - Coordinate onboarding processes for new staff and volunteers, ensuring timely communication with managers and consistency across the organisation. Payroll & Contracts - Process monthly changes to payroll (e.g. new starters, leavers, absences). - Maintain accurate audit trails and communicate payroll updates efficiently. Policy & Guidance - Ensure HR policies and procedures are accessible and up to date. - Provide first-line advice to staff and managers, escalating complex queries as appropriate. - Assist with formal HR meetings by supporting admin tasks such as note-taking. Leaver & Volunteer Administration - Manage leaver processes including exit interviews and payroll notifications. - Respond to volunteer-related queries and ensure accurate volunteer records are kept. General Administration - Monitor and manage HR and volunteer inboxes. - Maintain up-to-date personnel files in line with GDPR requirements. - Respond to employment reference requests. - Keep HR procedures manuals current and relevant.
