The Community Sport and Health Officer will help with the transition of a single-sport club to a multi-sport club, focusing on content creation and management, networking with local schools to establish PE cover arrangements, and providing behaviour mentoring. They will organize and run before and after-school clubs, coach multiple sports (primarily basketball, with expansion into cricket and football), and handle administrative tasks such as maintaining registers and ensuring compliance with safeguarding and health and safety legislation. Additionally, they will organize and promote half-term camps and source new opportunities for club growth. This role requires a dynamic and versatile individual who can balance coaching, mentoring, and administrative responsibilities while promoting the club's mission. What your apprenticeship includes: -A mixture of face to face and online catch ups every 4 - 6 weeks to discuss feedback and progress -A mixture of on and off the job training, including workshops and webinars -Reviews every 12 weeks with your Line Manager and apprenticeship Trainer -The chance to get Functional Skills in English and maths (if you don't already have GCSE) We particularly welcome applicants from female, black, minority, ethnic (BME) communities, disabled people and homosexual, bisexual and trans (LGBT) communities, as they are currently underrepresented within our workforce.
