This role will primarily involve working from home, though you will occasionally need to work at the Loughborough office. As our Apprentice Community Development Officer, you will help drive the growth of a strong, diverse, and skilled wheelchair basketball workforce, while also supporting the expansion of our school-based programmes. Working closely with Development Officers and national partners, you will work to reduce barriers to participation, promoting wheelchair basketball as a way of engaging people in physical activity. Within the role you will: Workforce Recruitment & Training - Support the promotion and delivery of workforce development initiatives, including coach, leader, and official education. - Recruit and train Community Officials and Activators, supporting them to progress in the sport - Support the recruitment and training of young officials, particularly in the University Sector - Help coordinate training opportunities, workshops, and events. Schools Development - Support the roll-out of wheelchair basketball resources to schools and colleges - Promote the inclusion of wheelchair basketball in school competitions, festivals, and engagement days. - Help develop resources and communication tools for teachers and school partners. - Collect feedback and insights to help strengthen school participation pathways. Monitoring and Evaluation - Work with delivery partners to check in on funded activities, offering support to ensure high quality delivery - Ensure accurate, regular reporting on funded activities at key points in the year General - Support the smooth running of the sport, providing administration on projects and events - Support event and training delivery - Maintain a keen interest in self-learning - Participate in team meetings and training Contact informationApprenticeships Training |
