Main Duties: Work alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that the nursery's aims and objectives are fulfilled. To develop and maintain good relationships and communications with parents/carers to facilitate day-to-day caring needs To prepare and supervise suitable activities to help create and develop a stimulating environment in which children are encouraged to socialise and develop to their full potential. These could include free play, music, art and craft, storytelling, wall displays etc. To care for the well-being of the children including washing them after accidents, administering simple first aid and caring for children taken ill until parents collect them To maintain the necessary steps to ensure the management of children's behaviour and maintain self-control when dealing with difficult or disruptive children. To support a program of behaviour management and praise good behaviour. To help create attractive displays of the children's work are regularly changed and kept presentable. To set up, serve and sit at lunch with a group of children. Record accidents/incidents in the individual accident forms' ensuring that a second person signs the accident form to they witnessed the accident/incident.
