Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring ingredients.

Support chefs during food service by preparing basic dishes and garnishes as instructed.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene by cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations.

Wash dishes and ensure kitchen areas are kept clean, organised, and free from hazards.

Receive, check, label, and store food deliveries following stock rotation procedures (FIFO).

Follow food safety, health and safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.

Safely operate kitchen equipment after receiving appropriate training.

Dispose of waste correctly and assist with recycling procedures.

Work effectively as part of the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Participate in training and develop knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, menu preparation, and kitchen procedures.

Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.

You will be working towards a Production Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship standard over the course of 15 months.

What your apprenticeship includes:

- You won't need to attend college, our apprenticeships are delivered through work based training which includes a mixture of face-to-face sessions and remote Team calls with your Lifetime Learner Coach every 6 weeks. You will also have a mentor within the workplace to support you.

- Obtain Functional Skills in English and Maths (if you don't already have GCSE or equivalents)

- Reviews every 12 weeks with the Apprentice, Line Manager and Lifetime Learner Coach including feedback sessions.

Wage will be:

Under 18 Apprentice wage £8.00 per hour

18-20 year olds: £10.85 per hour

21+ year olds: £12.71 per hour

You will be working towards a Production Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship standard over the course of 15 months.
